About Brittany
Hi, I’m Brittany McCrea, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Clinical Associate with Bright Raven Psychotherapy. I completed my Master of the Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I also have a post-graduate certificate in Addiction Counselling from Georgian College. Over the past ten years, I have worked with adults in mental health case management and addictions counselling roles. I am currently in training for Exposure and Response Therapy (ERP) for anxiety and related disorders. My therapeutic work with clients is under clinical supervision of Brooke Bertrand, MA RP.
I provide support to people ages 15 and older for in-person and virtual therapy. I work with people who identify challenges with depression, anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, phobias and obsessive-compulsive disorder, hoarding and substance abuse problems. I offer cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe, warm, and open space where you feel comfortable sharing your personal experiences. Together, we can look at what you want your life to be and plan the steps needed to help you get there.
Life can be challenging. Change can be difficult. Knowing which steps to take to get unstuck can be overwhelming. Having someone to lean on for support and guidance could make this process more manageable. With the right tools, you can be better equipped to overcome your personal challenges and keep moving forward.
